How to migrate or move Tabulizer files and data from one site to another

Moving Tabulizer files and data from one site to another one is as easy as copying a single folder that contains all rulesets.

Let's assume that we have built some tables using Tabulizer on a Joomla 2.5 site and we want to move the rulesets we have created and used to another Joomla 3.x site. We follow these steps:

  1. Install on Joomla 3.x the Tabulizer version that is appropriate for Joomla 3.x
  2. We copy the folder:
    {joomla 2.5 root directory}/templates/tabulizer
    To:
    {joomla 3.x root directory}/templates/tabulizer

That's it!

If you want to move the existing data sources as well, then you need to export and import the #__tabulizer_data_source database table. If you modified the User Preferences, you may want to export and import the #__tabulizer_user_preferences database table. The #__ indicates the database table prefix. If you are upgrading/migrating your system, using the same database this step may not be necessary.
What about Wordpress?
Similar logic applies if you want to copy the Tabulizer's files from a Joomla system to a Wordpress installation or vice versa. The only thing that changes is the location of the tabulizer folder, which in the case of Wordpress is {wordpress root directory}/wp-content/plugins/tabulizer/templates/tabulizer
